You walked into that one sir!
Phrasing? :-)

Yeah, I remember it was primarily the FBI that pushed the .40. Now that they've abandoned it and gone back to the 9mm, other agencies are apparently following their lead so you can pick up used trade-ins on the cheap right now.

Little follow up: Wanted to get a few more magazines for the M&P. Didn't need brand new ones, they'll be for the range only.

Sometimes I forget that AIM Surplus is about 25 miles away. Sure enough they listed trade in 15 rounders for $14. Drove up and got a few. Used, but plenty of life left in 'em.

A little Aroma Therapy this weekend with Boo. We've both been pretty busy with life lately and haven't see much of each other, so we decided on a little range time together!

Rock'n the .45

Funny part is, I'm shooting the ported 20 ga. that I got for her a couple years ago, because she wanted the 12 ga. pump, and she's rockin' that .45 like there's no tomorrow while I'm happy with my 9mm. Good thing I'm secure in my masculinity!

I recently added a red dot to a 686+ and took it out last week to sight it in. First time I've fired off a rest in many years. Beautiful day out in the desert and once I dialed the sight in it shot a ragged hole. I've used optical scopes on handguns in the past but this was my first experience with a red dot. I think it'll help my aging eyes.

This shooting spot is a half hour from my driveway. It's actually up on a hill overlooking a valley and you need a Jeep or other high clearance vehicle to get to it. There are a number of easily accessible shooting spots down below on the valley floor as well (all of which were occupied the day we were there) but I prefer the safety/privacy this spot affords.

Cooler weather is on the way which means more outdoor range time. Anyone got anything new or anything new in the hopper?

I picked up my first six-five creed moor and have my first three hundred BO on the way. Looking forward to ringing some steel.

Going to wring out a new-to-me Walther PPQ 9mm pistol this afternoon. It's my second, it's got the same Trijicon HD sights the first one came with. Looks to be virtually unfired.

This PPQ worked flawlessly today. Whoever installed the sights got them spot on for windage. They hit a trifle high, fine by me.

Anybody see the announcement from Glock? They're bringing out a new model, the G44, in .22 long rifle. Same size as the model 19. Debut is 1/20/20.

A .22 from them is long overdue, I think.

No factory Glock 22lr. But there are conversion kits for them. Advantage Arms is the only one that comes to mind but there may be others.

That is very surprising.

People have been wanting a Glock in .22 for a long time, but they've consistently sold heck out of their centerfire offerings since day one.

I think whe people think of a handgun, they think of the glock.

Got in a day at the range with my dad and friends. We shot mostly rifles but had time at the end for a little steel at the pistol range.

Hello. I was scouring the used gun shelves at a couple stores on the west side this morning. Got myself a low miles Sig Sauer P365. Probably have to wait until Sunday to see how it works. Supposed to be 54 degrees and sunny, so worth a couple days delay.

Great gun for everyday carry. Enjoy

I tried the P 365 out yesterday. Reliable and seems to be accurate. (I was shooting at steel targets, need some rounds on paper to see about accuracy.)
