On tap...it tasted like pine, absolutely disgusting...and I am a big Goose Island fan in general.

Yeah there is a good amount of pine aromas in that beer. I enjoy it though. Someone was telling me they may be bringing back their Nut Brown ale and maybe their Oatmeal Stout. I loved both those beers.

I love the GI bourbon stouts, Nightstalker, Honkers, Summer, Matilda, etc, etc, but hate pine flavor in beer....just like that Fat Tire crapola.
:-)

I'm not a fan of Fat Tire crapola either
:-) Also, with the 312 production moving somewhere in NY, maybe our home state will see more Bourbon County Stout and new bottles.

Phin & Matt's Extraordinary Ale, another Southern Tier brew
It was a good APA, nothing "extraordinary" though. I like that they used whole hops, but overall they were lost in the malt.

Review? I may be able to find some on tap locally, wondering if it's worth the journey.

Got a few of these large formats last Thursday. They were $2.99 at Total Wine and I picked them up for $1.99 after the dollar off coupon. Great deal!! Sorry, had to gloat to someone - my wife doesn't see the value.

Me likee. Made with Westmalle yeast strain, and like all things Lagunitus it is a tad sweet, but the hops, yeast, and booze balance that out nicely. It's nummy, I just finished another.

I should of tried one when I had the chance. Seen the bottle sit for a month on the shelf.
