I really enjoyed it. You get the cocoa at first and get a little of the spices but as it warms up you get a little heat.

Opened my last Old Raspy XII Anny tonight. For those that have had KBS, this is just like it.. except on steroids
:-):-) Amazing beer, best beer I've had in a long time.... Seek it out if you can find it. It's from 2009 though.

Just got back from an ice fishing trip to Chautauqua lake. It happens to be the home of Southern Tier brewing. Even better yet one of the brewers lives in the cottage next to ours. This led to a sweet VIP tour and alot of beer drinking. Drank quite a few 2x IPAs, 2x Stout, Gemini, Inequity, Chokolat Stout, Un Earthly, as well as Oak Aged Pumking which is not bottled and a experimental belgin ale. Fantastic time but man i woke up in a world of hurt lol

I can totally understand why you wouldn't say "enjoying". "Tolerating" might even be a stretch!

As a gift, I had some Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine; excellent. The hunt continues. Went to 3 Floyds and had a Cimmerian Sabertooth Berserker. A DIPA with New Zealand hops, really good. Hope they decide to bottle this one.

There are a lot of beers they just don't bottle. It's always a treat to go to the brew pub at 3F for fun beers. One of my favorite was a bourbon barrel Moloko.
The central waters bourbon barrel barleywine is great, it also ages well. The 2011 are really tasty, just wish I had put more away.
