Six of us are going this year. Already have rooms reserved. This will be the 4th year for me. Always have a good time.
We are going up Thursday to check in at the resort. We will be going to any events at CI and also heading over to Famous which is a ten minutes away from the CI Superstore.

Was it expensive to stay at the resort?

Looks like $170/night and up, but I think you get a discount code when you register for Cigar Fest. You can book online for the resort
here.

They've increased the amount of Tickets to 2500 which is up 500 from the last 2 yrs and a 1000 more than the fest in 06. That place was already overcrowded and they want to stuff another 500 in there?

No- one of these years I'd like to. What I really want to attend is the Shack Herf!

I'd cancel those rooms unless money is no object. They usually have a special discount code for Cigarfest attendee's but don't give it out until the Tickets go on sale.

Yeah, it looks as if they have discount rates as low as $126/night.

Just tried to book one.
Online booking says there are no rooms available that weekend
:-)
Guess I will buy my tickets online monday morning and call once I do.
Would rather stay there than travel
:-)
Makes drinking a lot more fun.

Looks like the prices went up quite a bit from the past two years I've gone. I guess they want us to help pay for that big Water Park they built last yr.

You can still get the Cigar Nut tickets via their auction. There are 750 of those (out of 2500). That seems like a high percentage. Some bids are already @ $200.00 and the auction doesn't close until February 16th. These tickets were $150.00 last year. I wonder if that was their plan all along.

Since they sold out too fast. I have placed my bid on em. I hope that I do not have to raise my bid. Anyone else in the DC area going?

I guess I'm out. I thought they'd sell out within a couple of days, not 1 1/2 hours.

I'll be there. I snagged a couple VIH for my Brother in law and I. A buddy of mine that was going ended up with Some General admission Tix. The VIH were sold out in less than 30 min but I heard there were only 500 of em available.
I don't blame em for auctioning the Cigar nut tix. Lots of scalpers out there that resell for triple on Ebay etc.

Woke at 7:15 and by the time the computer warmed up and I hit the page they were gone
:-) Last year took a couple days to sell out. Guess I will buy a box and herf with some friends instead.

I put a bid on 2 of them when I got to work at 8 but refuse to pay $200 a ticket
:-)
I really thought they would last a day or two. I want to take the son for his birthday, and just wish I would have logged on when I woke up and saved the money if I do end up with a pair at what I bid
:-)
