Finished trimming out the wine rack today. Now it's time for some paint on all of the trim. I think that will happen on Saturday if all goes well.

I hate you. :-)

That's a sweet looking man cave!! I love the wine racks. Very nice touch. If I had a set-up like that, I don't think I'd ever leave the room. :-)

I stained the fireplace a little darker and then assembled it tonight. Now I have to figure out how to make it look nice. :-)

Thinking about building a bookcase around it or something.... Any ideas?

This is what I'm working with-

Looks good. I would put up a wood recessed paneled wall that matches the fireplace. Then have a couple potted green plants to help with the oxygenation in the room.

books are a possibility but would possibly get charred up/black if left there with a real fire. some bricks?

It wont be that nice..... Going with an electric insert probably. I was thinking gas would be nice but then again, running that pipe ain't my cup of tea. :-)

Here are a few more updated pictures for anyone who is interested. Today we painted the trim and put the final coat on the walls. Still waiting for my last door to arrive so I can wrap this room up and move on to getting some furniture.

I really need a wide angle lense to capture the entire room.

Got back from dinner tonight and went to my room and had a La Gloria Series R while watching M State win. You a M or MS fan?

I can't wait until I get to do that as well. :-)

Sorry but I'm not a sports fan.... and if I was, it would be for Virginia and not Michigan. :-)

Where you from in VA? I lived in Norfolk for couple of years in the service.

A little west of Richmond. My father is from Norfolk. Ever heard of Killam Avenue in Norfolk? :-)
