Excelling in school isn't a reason for people to dislike you. I say it's because of is enormous ego. Kurt I can handle, but Kyle annoys me.

Watched most of this race while at work. Definately better than last weeks race. I don't care for who won it but it was a race to the end which is nice to see.

Snow will be no fun for them. Hope everyone makes it back safely.

I don't like who won it either, but you are right. The last 50 laps really was interesting.

LOL at "say goodnight, Gracie". Like him or hate him, that's funny.
What's with all the pre-race telecast? I can see it for Daytona, but c'mon. Begin the telecast, sing the National Anthem, and get racing. 15 minutes is enough pre-race for 90% of the races out there. Hopefully it'll get better when they come back to the East coast.

:-) At both of the above statements. I was laughing my a$$ off when he said that.
The pre-race is a joke. The lame musical acts, digger cartoons, etc.

I miss the old ESPN coverage. They had pretty good prerace coverage. FOX prerace coverage is a joke. Only thing I liked about an hours worth of coverage is the Gordon interview.
I know it's Vegas, but can they please stop using the gambling references. It got very old, very quick. The race track isn't the casino.
Someone please go gopher hunting! Is it Digger season yet?

I too am tired of the corny Vegas jokes. "Hey it's Vegas, roll the dice"
:-)
I also miss ESPN. You would turn on ESPN at 12:30, they would be singing the national anthem, give you the starting grid, and then GREEN FLAG!
:-)

I agree the pre-race crap is out of hand. I do not need to see these guys taking the pre-lap ride in the back of a pickup truck.

Oh come on, you don't want to see Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch ride around waving like they really care

If they did it right, I would love to watch the prerace show. Make it like the NFL preshows. Provide some substance and information, not Digger.

We were talking at the B&M about how they can spice things up by splitting the field in two and have them race in opposite directions.

Sounds similar to a Figure Eight race. If you've never seen a figure eight race, I would advise you to do so. Benny Parsons used to run these style races before he hit the big time. Entertaining and sometimes brutal. Head-on collisions are common.

They do a figure 8 race at the fair every year. I would love to get into it someday.

They run figure eights every weekend at Beech Bend racetrack in Bowling Green, KY. Always some old junk cars, but they get up and go. Takes some skill to navigate through the intersection.

We have figure 8's, school bus races and my favorite, the midnight ride of pail revere. It
:-) a figure eight race with nothing but a beacon on the car, in the dark. The trailer races are pretty hilarious too.

They do the school bus races down here too at a track a few miles away from Darlington. They have the buses go around the track clockwise (they say they do this to keep them from tipping over).
Thanks for the link, Sean.

There is a track up in Dayton, OH where they do the figure 8 school bus races. My brother's friend entered one year. He made it through the figure 8 race, but didn't finish the school bus demolition derby. His radiator failed him. One guy in the demo derby was playing possum. He turned his bus off about 2 minutes in, then with about 2 minutes left, he fired up the bus and came in second

If you are afraid to get hurt then figure 8 racing is not for you.
