Everything has shipped. I have already received the RH beads. The sticks should come in on Monday. I have been working some crazy hours which should end on Tuesday...if this is the case I am going to pick up a few sticks from my B&M and enjoy them with some sweet Kentucky bourbon.

How long would you all recommend the sticks that I ordered sit in the humi before I think about smoking them? :-)

You probably want to let them rest for a week or two, but I always like to try one or two right off the truck (OTT). Is your humi already seasoned?

No I am working on it right now. I am hoping it is good by the time the sticks come in. If not I was thinking I could get most of them in some tupperware just until the humi is good to go!

I cant wait!

I would stay away from the RP sungrown....so very lite and tasteless....if you want the epitome of sungrown goodness (you will be spoiled afterwards) then get the Ashton VSG....sheer Heaven!

Start getting your humidor conditioned right away, find a good spot for it and get some moisture in it,my local shopkeeper usually sprays a little distilled water in and wipes it around w/ a clean towel to begin conditioning a new humi.I am sure you will get other advise on this...Happy Trails...Garbandz... you will be getting something from me real soon...

Do you have any pictures of your new humi and stash of cigars?
Thanks!

A newbie should just try every smoke that comes his way.
Plenty of time to get a second order together.

You can probably get in on a Newbie Sampler Trade(NST)
with a FOG. FOGs are very generous with smokes, and
NSTs are notoriously one sided, in favor of the newbie.

Look for NSTs on this and other cigar boards like CigarPass.com
or eHerf.com, etc. CA probably has them here, too.

My Priority package didn't get to you yet? 3 1/2 days?

Nope not yet! Believe me I have been trying every smoke I can...trades, PIFs, 5ers, etc. I have been trying to buy samplers when I see good deals...I have decided this is for sure a hobby I am going to continue with. I have a 400ct humi I am trying to fill up...falling quickly down the slope!v:-)

Darn! I'm going to have to go up to the Priority Mail sorting
facility, where I used to work, and kick some butt!

You should have had them today, at the latest. Maybe tomorrow.
Hope they didn't 'inspect' the package. Not sure that the USPS likes
cigars in the mail. Never had a problem b4, though.

Maybe I'll check the DC for progress.

Chemyst :-)
