I might have to reevaluate since Microsoft decided to pull their heads out of their nethers. The Kinect still worries me because now that it's standard there is no telling how many games will have irritating hand wavy crap built into them.

PS4! I'm still a firm believer that PS2 was the best game console in my lifetime. Even better that N64, gameboy, genesis, or Xbox

Were I to *have* to buy a next-gen console, I'd go with PS4 as well. And PS2's were sweet -- many a night was spent rocking Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for it.

You forgot the Dreamcast, but I agree with you.

I'm a happy owner of a PS2 and a PS3, so I'm going to keep the streak going. I don't need a media hub, don't like to exercise while I game, and the DRM blows for the Xbox One, so it's an easy choice for me.

It's completely unfair... but not for me

I have an 8-year old that has asked for an Xbox 360 for Christmas. I will be staying with the older Xbox, not the Xbox One, as his friends have plenty of games for trading. He specifically asked for the older one. Now, if he uses it for playing games only, why would I need to get a 250GB over a 4GB?

Pretty sure I am just gonna keep my 360, since the game I want is going to be launched on both Xboxs.

I own a PS3 and have never had an issue so I lean towards staying with Sony.
I have never owned an Xbox, but don't they charge a fee to play online?

Yah I dont think you don't need to worry about memory unless he is downloading tons of game DLC and even then he can delete old stuff to make room.

i wouldn't worry about getting too much memory, jamie, most of the stuff that he'll be downloading will be small if it's just DLC, and he certainly won't need 4GB just for saving game progress.

I think I am going to go with the Xbox One. I am one of the few folks that is actually interested in the media portion of it.

Having owned all previous versions of the Xbox and PlayStation I'll just be picking up the PS4 this time. Too many things I dislike about the new Xbox this time around. It will be weird not owning both systems and comparing them (games/media/etc). Let me know what you Xbox One guys think when it drops. I want to see how MS irons out some of their snafus during the last few months.

So, the launch for both have happened. I'm curious to see what everyone thinks? I got my PS4 and so far I'm pleased with it. Everything runs great on it. Menu system is smooth as glass and games run very well. I've talked to my brother who has an Xbox One and he seems to think from our conversations that the PS4's menu system is a little better but that in time Xbox will get there. The games look great but neither console launched with that killer title so in time things will get better for both systems. I'm not about deciding a winner or loser here as I plan on getting both eventually. I like that PS4 is more geared towards gaming but I also feel that Xbox in time could be a great entertainment center console but right now I'm not a fan of Kinect just yet but I'm hoping MS works out some of the launch glitches and puts together an awesome kinect system eventually. Well, that's my
:-) and look forward to hearing how it's going for everyone else

I'm loving my PS4. I've only played Ghosts on it it so far, but everything looks great. Menus are easy to use. The only complaint I have is that the controllers don't hold a charge like the PS3s. With moderate use, I have to switch and recharge controllers twice a week.

I heard 360 games will not work on the One.....so yep still going with the PS4, but I am going to wait till NEXT black Friday to get it.....this way I have a full year to really weigh my choices.
