Worst of the rain is done here, still pretty windy. Going to try and take some pictures now. Oh and 2 inches of water in the basement!

No damage to report. The basement did take on a little water. Most importantly everyone is safe!

Wow. Irene just came through Connecticut. It didn't seem like it was that bad but there was alot of damage in the town I work for. Massive flooding along with trees and wires down all over. Good thing, no injuries or fatalities. Also been working 32 hours straight. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. Hope everyone stayed safe

Help is on the way folks! My dad works for Duke Energy. He and a ton of Duke workers are heading out tomorrow morning for about 2 weeks to help restore power

I'm glad to see you paid NO ATTENTION to orders to stay safely away from potential danger, Chris.

As for me, my worst problem was that the TV stations pre-empted programming for Irene coverage 24/7 all weekend, so I had to watch DVDs. My lights flickered a time or three, and that's it. Madison is in the "shadow" of the Watchungs, giving us some shelter from nor'easter winds, and is not prone to flooding. Other than that, the biggest hassle was dealing with the crowds in town Sunday afternoon and evening. Many people surrounding us lost power, which we didn't (would you believe, we have our "own" power company, sort of?), so they flocked here to grab lunch and dinner. Typical waits for a table was an hour.
Good thing I don't eat out. Uhhh, I mean, in restaurants that is.

One of the roads in town where I work. The lake found it's way under the road

Can't speak for CT, but it looks like a typical NJ backroad to me, brother.
