General Discussion>So, what do you do for a living?
Veatorious 12:31 AM 01-03-2014
I work for a publicly traded global transportation firm. I am the VP, General Manager for our Nevada segment, with additional oversight in Business Development. Currently I am cultivating my replacement in Nevada so I can grow our industrial sector in Canada and the US. I guess I am one of the lucky ones, as I love my job. As I get to work with some really great leadership and business partners. Constantly learning and growing.

Retired 10 years ago. I run errands, read books, listen to the rain, watch ballgames on TV and smoke cigars. Spend couple of hours a day selling swag to businesses. Everybody gets a free pen.

I just got back from shoveling snow for some local shopkeeper, and got ten bucks for it.

Hey, not only is it ten bucks more than I had, it is a buck for every degree over zero of the present temperature. Yeah, it's a bit nippy outside . . . and not in a GOOD way. :-)

I get paid to tell people where to go! Dispatcher for a long haul trucking company. Some day I will move to 911 dispatch where the job is easier.

I am a Sales/Customer Service personnel for Battery Systems. Lately, I have took on the role of Assistant Manager.. well, at least the duties(not the pay) since my boss quit.

I am working on becoming a Manager for a branch of ours in the mix of all this. April will be 3 years for me with the company. Good one too.
