From a few days ago. Erin and I split the bottle. It was a GREAT beer!

...but honestly, we both like Founders KBS a little bit more. I'm thinking I should have nabbed the all 3 packs of KBS that I had found, instead of just 2 of them. And we've got one more Beyotches Brew, also.

I'm glad you liked it. I really like it (as does Tony), but apparently there are some bad bottles floating around....or people just don't "get" the beer because there are a lot of bad reviews on BA. I almost didn't include that bottle because of that, but the ones we are getting here have all been good and I know you are getting into sours, so I did. Glad it was good.

I agree with Seth to try these after a little storage time.

Not sure what part of the hoppiness you don't like, but you'll find that the aroma and some of the flavor will fade, but the overall bitterness will stay about the same. However, the beer will end up tasting more malty so it might fit in your wheelhouse better. Imperial IPAs, strong ales, and barleywines all have a very similar profile--lots of hops complemented by lots of malt to even things out. Over time, they all kind of blend together into similar, more balanced beers. Good luck enjoying your trip through beerdom!

I started with a home brew IPA, then half a home brewed Scottish (other half went in the can for my beer can chicken) and now a Terrapin Monk's Revenge
