A recent purchase from Dustin (BamBam) on the Wally Frank he had up for sale:

Length is a smidge over 5", bowl ht a little over 1.25", and inside bowl diameter 7/8" and gradually tapers downwards. Great draw. One inch shorter and we'd had a nose warmer going on here

Thanks
The only baccy that I've had before out of that lot are the Squadron Leader and the Irish Flake.
It's only 38 degrees and windy, so my dreams of having a bowl today of something new were put on hold.
It was hard to pass on the Syrian since it was less than $14 for a 3.5oz tin
I'll let you know what I think once I've given it a go.
:-)

The Boswell is really beautiful and I do not own a camera that does it justice. The stem is not black like it looks in the pics but a very dark brown with light brown streaks running through it.
Wonderful work on that pipe, just beautiful.
The Boswell's are truly a class act. When the family and I went on a trip last spring to Gettysburg I was fortunate enough to stop at Boswell's shop on the way back. I got to speak with Dan and J.M. and I was treated better than I have ever been treated by a retailer. I bought two pipes and a good selection of his tobaccos. He gave my Daughters cigar boxes to hold there things as presents. J.M. is just a true gentleman, and I continue to call the shop and order "Boswell's Best" aromatic tobacco, it is now my favorite.
If you ever get the opportunity, stop in and meet this family, they are top notch.

Box came from P&C today...there was even a hat in there too. I had asked about this blend a few weeks ago and Russ made sure I got some. They should be available for sale on P&C's site real soon. Since I didn't make the show, I don't know if these are the retail cans or show cans...One thing is for sure, I'm popping one in a couple days. I'll be stuck in San Louis Obispo without coming home until close to Christmas if you get over that way and want to try some.

Thanks for the info Wayne. Would think it would be available soon on P&C. And thanks for the invite too. If work thinks to send me up your way, I'll shoot you a PM. Bring a jacket. It gets cool up in that neck of the woods...

I do not know where that one comes from but I believe that Cornell & Diehl sells straight Perique, and so does McClelland.

Thanks Todd. I'm kicking myself for being "that guy" and not looking for it myself. I know better. Going to grab some of the McClelland bulk when I buy a new pipe in a couple weeks.

The little jar of Perique came straight from the farm where it is grown/processed. The jar is from 1999 and I purchased it from Steve A.K.A. pipestud at pipestud.com
