Actually, it's a new story and has nothing in common with how it all got started.
For what it is, it's not that bad but it doesn't jive with the continuity of the original story in the original movies.

Just watched all 3 1/2 hours of Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp. This prompts me to propose a new word.
costner (vb.,trans.) = to create something half-again as long as it needs to be; e.g., see Waterworld, Dances With Wolves, Wyatt Earp.
