Stefan, how does the Pliny compare to other IPA/DIPAs you've had? What is it similar to? I've read a lot, including some clone recipes, but haven't been out west to try any.

Two questions for you.
1) Have you had it?
2) Do you generally enjoy IPAs and, if so, which ones?

Yes I have, over in your neck of the woods. AT the TAPROOM but only because they offered it to me.
I was only giving you my thoughts about it. Not trying toget in a battle over beer.
In the end it always comes down to one thing, what you & your taste buds enjoy...
CHEERS

It is certainly not a battle. But you haven't answered my second question. It would certanly put your original comment in better perspective for those of us that follow the thread.

Been enjoying the hell out of Bell's Two Hearted lately. Although it seems to make me dumber than other beer
:-) .
Trying a 3 Philosophers for the first time. Good, but probably not a style I would prefer going forward.

Grolsch, not too shabby, but I really wanted the bottles for home brewing. Good decision either way!

I'm with Pnoon I hear the Plinys are some of the best DIPA's out there. I would be interested in wondering what was asked as well.
I'm obviously interested but if you like say Dreadnaught but don't like Pliny it might save me the time and hassle in attempting to acquire Pliny and put more focus on buying another case of dreadnaught.
However If you normally don't like DIPAs.....then that would be the reason you did not enjoy Pliny.
