Oliva Serie G Maduro Robusto torpedo. Wow... that was a mouthful! Great little box-pressed cigar, anxious to try another!
Also, a little story to tell. I like to read a book while having my cigars (or is it the other way around?), and today was no different. Lately I have been engrossed by Graham McNeill's Warhammer 40,000 books.
Today, while reading
Storm of Iron, I set the book down for a moment to enjoy a nice long puff or two of the cigar, and it was satisfying. Then, picking up the book again, I read this paragraph and felt a deep kinship with the character and the mythos:
"The commander of the 383rd Jouran Dragoons regiment, Prestre Vauban, took lungful of tobacco from his cigar and closed his eyes, allowing the acrid blue smoke to swirl in his mouth before exhaling slowly. The thick cigar was a gift from Adept Naicin and, while he normally preferred a milder cheroot, there was something strangely satisfying about the powerful taste of this monstrous, hand-rolled cigar."
As I looked down and read that paragraph, I grinned outwardly and laughed. It wasn't a regular thing for tobacco or cigars in particular to be present in his books, and the rarity of this occurrence plus my enjoyment of the Oliva Serie G made this a VERY memorable moment.

whoops! i append my previous post... it was actually a Cameroon wrapper on that Serie G, not a maduro. Darn! I don't know why I wrote that... perhaps wishful thinking?

Viaje 50/50. I really enjoy these sticks.
The boutique cigar companies are really coming out with some good stuff. Illusione is another great boutique cigar, I really enjoy the #2.

About to light up a 777 bellicosa by Jesus Fuego once the wife and daughter leave for the downtown festival.
I also have a robusto and a corojo of the 777 I plan on smoking today. I've had them for 3 days and no humidor so they need to be "taken care of"
:-)
