I may be a little late, but was anyone sad to see Bay bang his head? I feel bad for him, but glad he's not in the lineup anymore

I'm pretty disappointed. Bay plays his heart out. He gets a bad rap as a Met because he's been on the DL so much.

I always loved Bob Uecker's line:

It's easy to catch a knuckleball . . . you just wait 'til it stops rolling, then pick it up.

That was a close one. Mets win 4-3 after Gee had a 1 hitter through most of the game.

Just FYI, here about 35 miles upweather of Citi Field, the sky's a nasty stormy green, with lightning heading from Pennsyltucky-way. Don't be shocked at a rain-delay, since a shock's not nearly as bad as a lighning strike up aside the head.

Now, not 10 minutes later, it's rainin' like a summabich, a real frog-strangler.

Mets drop last nights game, and the series, to the Yankees 6-5. I'm proud of the way they fought back after being down 5-1 though. Damn bullpen blows another one. Why in the hell would Collins leave Batista in for two innings??? :-) :-)

I didn't get it either!
If you get a scoreless inning out of Batista in a tie game, you can't tempt fate, you have to get him out of there.
I know the pen was in disarray with Francisco out, but doesn't Collins remember The last time he faced Cano?
I'm not sure that ball from Friday has landed yet! :-)
