My new favorite beer boys and girls, if you can get it you oughta.
Marshal Brewing El Cucuy
I normally do not care for citrusy flavors in beers. I normally do not care for exceedingly heavy dark bitter flavors in beers. That said those would be the dominant characteristics of this beer but they are so refined (the heavy dark bitter flavor is not actually bitter) and paired well that it's a miracle of a tastey bev.
After that glowing review I'm sure you'll hate it

Kraken Rum on the rocks. Someone somewhere on here recommended it as a good, inexpensive dark rum. All I have to say to them is "thanks!"

Coworker got me a bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed for Christmas. I've never had anything from Wild Turkey but man, this stuff is a great bourbon.
Following a glass of that up with a glass of Zaya Rum which has been my go to plan for the past few weeks. Glass of bourbon and a glass of rum for "dessert"

Evening of fine libations. Started with some Cody Road Rye, a bit of Wild Turkey Rare Breed (very impressed by this, got it as a christmas gift) and finishing up with Zaya 12 year rum.

Had Kraken rum on the rocks last night, been seeing a lot of people talking about drinking rum and saw it at my brother in laws and thought why not?, and while it wasn't bad, I'm def not a rum guy and won't be doing that again. When I came home I had Tullamore Dew 10 (aged in 4 different oak barrels) and for $30-$35 I must say this is becoming my go to and smokes most $40-$50 whiskies!! Smooth, Sweet, I need another bottle here's a pic of when I first opened it!

Back to basics tonight with some Jim Beam White label. It's what started me on bourbon, what gets poured at any and all family gatherings, and if I'm honest, what I always fall back on.

That sucks sorry man. But I'd drink the '13 birthday bourbon any day of the week over the Legendario... that is some good stuff.
