Shared some 10 year old Glenmorangie with good friends over the weekend, and ended tonight with a nice pour of Cody Road Rye.

James tell me what you think of that I've been wanting to pull the trigger on the Carribean cask for a while now.
The other day I bought a holiday gift package of The Glenlivet. Brought the 375 ml bottle of 12 year to an XMas party that I split with some friends. The 2 airplane bottles of 15 and 18 year old I kept at my house!

Had a glass of Alain Jaume & Fils Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2005 for supper, so nothing special.

It's definitely worth a try if you enjoy some of the Balvenie's other offerings; the predominant note is vanilla. But I think the 12-year Double Wood has more complexity and depth of flavor. And I'd say the same for the 15-year Single Cask. If the 14-year and the 15-year are sitting side by side, take the 15.

My local liquor store got some Donegal Estate Irish Whiskey in so I grabbed a bottle to give it a try. It's not too shabby, but it's not going knock off Jameson as my go-to Irish. It brings to mind a slightly more complex Powers. I do love the label, though; very classic.
