Blind taste test Monkey Shoulder vs JW Black, JW Black with the win, Glenmorangie Quinta Rubin as a reference, Yards Brawler as a chaser.

Really getting into a few fingers of Elijah Craig 12 yr. old. First time for me with this one. Very smooth, flavorful. Amazingly smooth in fact for a bourbon that's 94 proof.

I've never been much of a hard cider fan but Angry Orchard's pretty tasty.

James- never drank cider before and thought it was a feminine drink but with the fireball it makes it taste like apple pie, and man do they creep up on you!! Try it out sometime!

If I were me, I'd be drinking Julian hard cider if my local hadn't stopped carrying it. That was good stuff.
Going to try my hand at hard cider myself next fall. I have 4 apple trees I need to do something with next year. I was going to this past season, but my son got a hold of the carboy I was going to use and rolled it into the cinder block wall on accident. Haven't got around to buying the new carboy yet.
Wasn't cider really popular in the US up until prohibition?

I'm making a trip in a couple weeks. Hoping Duluth (MUCH larger town than my hometown) will have it in stock somewhere...
