You're right on. What kind of uproar there would be if they proposed a law requiring a training class, a fee, and a permit to exercise your first amendment rights?
Think about it, now that the Supreme Court has ruled the second amendment is an individual right, the fight should be all but won. Now the NRA should start going after
infringement in all of its many forms: registration, any/all restrictions on types and classifications, excessive fees, or delays/waiting periods.
Next on the list of laws to strike down should be any that restrict carry. The second amendment doesn't just garauntee the right to keep arms, but to
BEAR them.

I have a girl here in the office was beside herself, baffled as I attempted to explain to her there was no official gun registration in Florida. She was informing me something she had learned the night before; that if a person files an injunction against a person in the state of Florida, that person will receive a visit from local law enforcement and will have their guns confiscated. I asked her how that was enforceable as there was no gun registry in Fl. She was convinced that there should be a gun registry and that people should be licensed and that gun ownership was a privelege, not a right.
Oh, BTW....? No explanation as to why she thought that. Only that in her mind, that's the way it should be.

Don't argue with people like her. Their brains hurt them when they hear facts.
:-)

no, no, no... I don't argue. Not with stubbornly ignorant people. I have better things to do and time better spent than to waste time battling arrogant ignorance.
Like dusting my dashboard with dead fly's wings.

Exactly. Almost everytime an anti-gunner tries to throw some BS at me, I just ignore them. Sometimes, if a person is willing to listen, I will try to have a friendly debate with them. No name calling, calm voices, etc.

Sign me up! (I am a NRA Member as info.)
If we could pull that off in NJ that would be amazing!

Sadly, the only item that guarantees our freedom (gun) in America has been demonized by our PC society and politicians. This is just one of the ways to cripple a nation into socialism/communism.

I am in a Harley Davidson forum and there was a 35 page debate that started with the OP asking the best firearm to carry on a motorcycle.
It degraded into a bunch of anti gun fools stating that common sense and a cel phone are the best weapons and people who carry are trying to portray a tough guy image.
I wish that was the case here in Florida.
Catfish 11:58 AM 03-05-2009
Common sense and a cell phone, eh?
I'm not saying I disagree entirely. In my personal opinion, a lot of people could stay out of a lot more trouble than they get into if they used a skosh more common sense.
I arm myself to protect myself and my family from those who wish to do us harm.

I've been looking for this stockset for years. Never could afford it, and now with OBAMA in office, they're harder to get than skittles in a crack house.
Finally got ahold of one through a trade, so it didn't cost me anything, and I still got the stock
:-)
Without further ado, here's my newly dressed baby

That AR has no less than 2-3k rounds through it
:-) I've had it since I was 18. Just have been modifying it bit by bit.
As for the stock.. haven't shot it with the new stock, but it is replacing an equally similar M93B stockset which is like an older version of the UBR that I pictured above. They are very similar so they should perform the same.

I do believe any threats of home invasion have now been adressed Jordan, including Russians as well as Zombies.
:-)
I believe an AR is the king of all home defense, although a shotgun with buckshot is worthy of consideration.

Sounds about like what has already happened these past few years...
