It goes away, usually pretty quick.

Unfortunately, Sophie is hard-wired like a rooster to wake me up every morning between 6-7 AM, when I have zero reason to be up then. Worse, once I'm awake, I can't ever fall back to sleep. :-) Thank heaven for coffee.

Anyone have any tips on breaking the whining habit? I don't remember my last pup being this vocal! We got the pup from a breeder who has a really social pack of about 20 dogs. The pups run around free with the pack. I understand she is more than likely missing her mom and brothers, and is only 9 weeks old.

It's a 1st Gen. Maltese/Chihuahua mix. Cries when I come outside to smoke. She can see me through the glass door. She also cried all night last night.
