To be fair, I blame the horrific defense. Valdespin's 2 errors in one inning killed Parnell's outing.

Can't win games when we give up errors on simple ground balls.

I agree...Valdespin probably owns the L for that game. But it's so easy to lay it on the bullpen...worst in the MLs. :-) :-)

Met's have had a tough few games. Not good with interleague starting Friday against a couple decent teams.

The Mets enjoy a much needed win this afternoon against the 1st place Nats (3-1). Another nice outing by Dickey. Now they get to head back to NY with a bit of confidence going after the Yankees.

Dickey wins his MLB leading ninth as the Mets FINALLY beat the Nats...3-1. :-) :-)

Just gave up a 2 run HR to Cano. Why is Ike Davis not in the minors? I heard them say something about not wanting to damage his confidence. WTF???? He's hitting .160...send his ass down to get that stroke back.

I also heard that they didn't want to move Duda to first (his natural position) and get him out of rhythm. We have to do something about Ike.

Also, not really enjoying the 7-8-9 batters in a row - Ike, Bay and Quintanilla. Yikes.

Cano just hit his second HR. Looked like a half swing.

I switched over to the US / Antigua soccer match. The US uniforms make the players look like gondoliers in Venice.
