The call was overturned because of a stupid rule. They were right to overturn the call, but the rule itself sucks. They really need to look into revising the blocking the plate rule for next year. Last night was a perfect example of why this rule sucks and how a team is punished for a perfect throw to the plate and having the runner out at home by this new rule. Thanks, Buster Posey. At least we won for once.

Exactly, the rule sucks, but the umps in NY made the right call. I think we should go back to running the dude over if he has to block the plate.

I can see the point in making the rule, but it needs to be modified from the way it is currently written.
I'll take the win, but it just sickens me a little bit the way it happened. It's just not baseball.

Did any of you see ex-Red Adam Dunn's pitching debut last night? No wonder he Ks all the time. He doesn't know where the strike zone is.

Cueto has logged 200 more pitches than any one else in the game this year. He is on pace for 250 innings this year. With Simon already falling off, you'd think Price would start to be a little more conservative with his pitchers' arms.

Reds at home can't beat teams like the current red Sox, no playoffs for them this year.

I understand why the on-air commentators have to try to put a positive spin on things, but when they go to the "We're only X number of games out in the wild card race" nonsense, I want to drop a shipping crate full of straws on them. Why? You know, so they literally have some to grasp at.

Turn the sound off and listen to the radio broadcast. Marty bashes this team pretty regular.
