I am lucky enough that 4 shop within 20 min's of me carry them; 3 of the 4 have a 6 pack limit an the other shop has no limit. But last time I picked up a case was $125.

Damn, my case of Dreadnaught was only $100. Didn't last but 20-25 days. Given the chance I'd still buy a case.

Last night had a mix suggested by a guy at BA called a Wake-n-Moo. Half Terrapin Wake-n-Bake Coffee Oatmeal Stout and half Terrapin Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout. One work...FANTASTIC. But it gets better, he then suggested one should add a shot of bourbon (I used Four Roses Single Barrel) to the mix, so I did and WOW! I typically don't make mixed drinks but I found an exception!

That's odd....The idea sounds good, coffee + chocolate milk + bourbon. Just cannot get the moo-hoo

Albert, that sounds :-)!

I've heard that it' becoming generally acceptable in "mixology" circles (as well as more fashionable) to experiment with beer drinks. There was an article in a recent Brew magazine that talked about this. I'm typically a purist, but what you had sounds good so far!

Other than the occasional Black and Tan or when I mixed a sweet beer I couldn't finish by itself with a Stout (ie Pumpking) I never plan one out. But I have to say this Wake-n-Moo add bourbon was a WINNER!!!

Rogue John John Hazelnut...tasty

Anyone been getting into Black IPAs? I've had the Odells, but haven't poked around to any of the others I don't think.

That's my favorite porter too. I love the slightly sour taste.

I'm drinking my homebrew Imperial Vanilla Bourbon porter. I had one a week ago and thought it seemed a little thin. This one seems a lot better.

Yeah I get that too on the very end of the finish. Up front I love the great roasted malts, rich chocolate and coffee on the mid-palate. I also taste some nuttiness as well. I want to pair this beer with a cigar. I think maybe a Monte 2. The beer isn't too strong, and I think it will enhance the classic monte flavors.
