IMHO, you're not missing much. Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much going on in the front page, horrid layout, bad theme design, no option to change it, etc.

They need a good portal, which they don't have.

Man, that sucks. It looks like Dr. Seuss started a cigar website. I don't care for it.

Looks terrible.

I was a still a fresh-faced noob, when Caputo bought the place and I could immediately tell that it wasn't going going a direction I wanted. The Asylum is much better.
I'm very grateful to the gang who left CS and started CA. Nice job.

Some great brothers really stepped up to make CA and I am still amazed that no mention of donations has been made nor any advertising is present.

Web sites aren't run for free and I would be clicking on the donation tab the minute it came up here.

Hopefully Jon Caputo realizes that you can buy a name sometimes, but the spirit of the old CS apparantly wasn't for sale.

Don't know him, but my gut says he isn't the kind of guy I would like or respect very much.
Certainly not someone I would willingly Herf with. Though any REAL BOTL are welcomed to herf in N. Orange County anytime!

Thanks 11 ! ! ! ! !:-)

C'mon, guys, let's not stoop to ad hominem attacks here. Bottom line, we don't know him personally. We can be unhappy about what he's done to our beloved CS, but, after all, it IS his to do as he pleases. Just don't visit the new site, he'll be hurting soon enough! But, to attack the guy personally is beneath we true gorillas. Just my :-)

+1

Caputo doesn't seem like a bad guy at all .. likes his family, cigars, and guitars. I mean ... how bad is that?

He IS making business decisions that I disagree with ... but then again, I could have bought Microsoft in 1990 for 64 cents a share .. so my judgment is suspect anyhow.

I thought there were supposed to be rooms or dorms or fish bowls or sumthin were the guys from former sites could still get together over there and pretend it never happened. I certainly couldn't find them when I was there. :-) Just part of the smoke screen I guess.

And you can give it a top hat and a monocle and put a cigar in it's mouth but it ain't Lowland Louie (R.I.P.)... why do you think they call it a BLOWfish?

What bugs me is that his tophat is on sideways.

Every time I see it, it reminds me of a horny tennis ball.

I'm really trying to get past it, but it just cracks me up when I see it. :-)
