Good luck in your recovery Jeff! I had a Stryker knee put in several years ago and only have one thing to say, with a good surgeon and good parts like Stryker, your life has changed for the better after some rehab. The more work you put into the rehab, the more complete your recovery!
:-)

Good to hear...have they had you on the steps yet? that was the hurdle I had to clear in order to be sent home...Still rehabbing my left hip which was done late Oct 2010 but having issues with the right which was done by the same surgeon Jun 2009. It's a long process and like someone else said the more you take the rehab at home seriously the quicker you'll be on your own two feet again

I'm scheduled to do the stair test first thing tomorrow morning, if I do well I may get to go home! It may still be friday though but I am ok with that. I am so amazed at how different things are nowadays. I had a femoral osteotomy 17 years ago and was in the hospital for two weeks! And now they get me up the next morning and out of bed!
I have a titanium socket with this new plastic liner that is supposed to last 50 years, apparently it is the latest and greatest that they only give to young people. I am excited about this new lease on a painless life!

I have the ceramic features...I'm told I won't squeek for some time and I'll never need to change the oil...oh and I don't sound like the 6 million dollar man when I move...

Love that they give it a badass name and glad all went well.
Enjoy your recuperation. Probably gonna need a few more smokes to pass all that time, aren't you?
