All Cigar Discussion>How do you smoke a "culebra"???

I know most of us actually separate them and smoke with friends, but are they actually intended to be smoked that way or together?

It is often said that the rollers in the Cuban factories back in the day were allowed to roll one cigar a day to take home. The culebra was "one" cigar, but it was three cigars....in the vast majority of instances, they were intended to be smoked separately.

I've probably asked that question before, but my alzheimer's made me forget.:-)

HA, what you MEAN is you hope your OCD will allow you to have
a 'half-smoked' cigar in your humidor. The incompleteness of it will drive you nuts.
I have to agree with the herf crowd. Although after decades of these type forums,
who knows it there is even a novelty to it anymore. I started 2010 with 5 and now
have but one. Too many deserving friends, I guess. BTW, don't try to smoke three
at a time. Too tough to keep together. They are not as twisted together as they
appear and will not hold.

Someone brought a custom Cuban culebra to one of the early Shack Herfs where the three cigars all came to the same head.
