Was at a Veteran's Day program yesterday at a retirement village - my oldest sang in the high school barbershop quartet that sang the National Anthem and Taps. I was there to hear him sing as his grandmother had arrived from Denver (OK, Parker, CO) earlier and wanted to hear him perform.
When they noticed me there, they asked if I'd say a prayer. Seems the prayer idea was left out of the program, but the vets present wanted one.
I was honored to be asked and glad I was there to fulfill what these heroes thought was missing.
God's blessings on all those who served, and helped to protect my freedom to proclaim the Word of God.
