I take mine off. I don't think it makes a difference, but I love peeking into my humidor and seeing my sticks in the nude. :-)

If the cigar comes in cello I keep it on to protect the cigar. I haven't found that it makes a difference either way. But i def keep them in the tubes if they come in them

If it's a tubo I just pull the caps off and leave them in the box they came in.

Just had this conversation with my smoking buddy from next door... we tried taking them off, putting them back on, then taking them off and we have concluded in our unofficial study that leaving them on offers greater protection and the cigars seem to do better based on touch and feel over time. Lots of manufacturers ship cigars unwrapped, and for me, over time, they dont do as well. I, personally, save the wrappers and use them on the unwrapped sticks I receive. Our humidor is fairly regulated (+/- 5 degrees) around 70/70. With all that said, wrapped or unwrapped, the cigars we have checked have been very smokable and none have been tossed. Just two guys' opinion to leave them wrapped.
