In a month or two the new Man 'O War virtue will be available at some of the larger sights. You might want to give those a try.

There are plenty of things on that website that are completely wrong.
It may be a Connecticut Maduro wrapper, but he said a Connecticut shade wrapper like "RP Connecticut" meaning a light color Connecticut shade wrapper not a maduro.

Most Nicaraguan tobacco in my opinion is strong and spicy..... Tabacos Baez are smooth, creamy, and toasty with little to no spice... .Not exactly the same.
That said they are wonderful sticks! U should buy a box!

These are both probably pipe-dreams at this point but the original Cuban Diplomat (Cigar King/Phatash) and the Rey Miguel (Black Cat Cigars) used Ecuadorian CT wrappers and Nicaraguan binder and filler. Both were Pepin creations but, unfortunately, neither are made any more.

The Rey Miguel is one blend that I am truly sorry I missed out on.

Cabaiguan and Oliva Connecticut - both excellent smokes.

Tabacalara Tropical used to have the Condega Connecticuts. I still have about 5 boxes. I had one this AM. Poor man's "Cabaiguan", in fact I like it better than he Cabaiguan - but not by much. 601 black is pretty much the standard for the breed we are discussing IMO.
