Biggest snow storm I have ever been in was in Amarillo a few years back. If you don't like the weather where you are you don't ever have to leave TX to find the kind you are looking for!

I lived in Austin from 92-98, we had a few icy winters
this is my 4th winter in Amarillo and first good snowy winter since 06
but figure we're a lot farther north than 98% of Texas, and at 3900 feet elevation, so that helps too. One day I would love to return to central Texas though, we'll see what the job situation shakes out like in the coming months

They say we got 7" in Tulsa but I don't believe them. I'm thinking more like 4". It is melting off pretty fast right now. I think we might survive much to the surprise of the local news casters who were over hyping this storm a wee bit (as they often do).

That is a great pic of you smoking brother. I wish I could sit outside and smoke in the winter here, but it is just to darn cold - I am forced inside my garden shed with blankets and a heater.
We had our storm on the weekend, and got about 2 fet of snow. Its the first real blizzard of the year though, so we really cannot complain.
