$2500 bucks!? I could buy 42 boxes of my favorite LFdC's for that much! Like we used to say on my boat: "For that price it had better come with a blow job!"
I use a cooler-dor and Heartfelt beads; cheap, holds a ton of sticks, maintenance free. :-)

He likes big sticks. :-)

Wow all of a sudden I feel like I should have gotten about $18,000 for my Aristocrat. :-):

Yeah, it was a little pricey but if you spend nice coin for the cigars, then it pays to get a quality unit. So I used some of my holiday bonus to treat myself back in January 2014 and it was definitely worth it. But for a quality product, it's was really packed for shipment pretty lousy. Had to return two as they had dents in the steel finish. Liebherr should work to make that better.

Also, I'm glad I bought it when I did...for some reason, it's almost $3,000 now! I don't get that. Even I would have a tough time explaining that amount, let alone the old $2500 amount.

Just a quick follow-up on my last post...I ordered a second unit as I saw one on sale from Designer Appliances from New Jersey for $2139 plus the guy gave me a $50 coupon on top of the price with free delivery...my current unit has over 200 cigars in it and I want to make some room in case I come across more prized sticks that I need to have...well worth it!

I'm aware this is an older thread but I thought I would chime in after my last post from 7 years ago...the Liebherr unit I have is now over 10 years old and still going strong, I have about 200 cigars in the unit. Also, this model in the USA is now discontinued but still available in Europe (Model #Zkes 453). Understandable that is is no longer sold here since there are now more refrigerator/humidor units in the market then 5 years ago, that come in various sizes and at a variey of prices that would suit one's budget.

Thank you for the update.

Shipping cost from Europe is probably a deal breaker though.

I wanted to follow up on this...I sold the second unit as i was moving from NY to Tennessee for retirement and I didn't want to crate and move both units. I kept my original and sold the newer one for about 1200...One unit holding about 200 cigars was suitable for my needs.

It definately is, and it has also increased in price making it is no longer competitive to buy here in the USA. Also, from personal experience, it is not packed well for shipping. The unit I own was the third one that was delivered as the first two was badly damaged in shipping. As I said, this has served me well in 10 years. Set the temperature and humidity, add distilled water when it chimes, and change the filter annually. Oh yeah, and smoke and replace cigars...that takes a lot of work, but I will have to deal with it...:-)
