Ooh... Intriguing!
As for Honduran leaf, I'm in the baby/bathwater crowd. Way too broad a statement for my taste. Sure, I'm probably wedded to it the least of the major producing countries, but saying it sucks, to my ears, is like saying that historical novels suck. Sure,
many of 'em probably do...
Besides, sometimes I'm right in the mood for a mouthful of dirt.

As I have stated, I am a Villazon whore. ERdM, Hoyo, Punch, JR Ultimate - these are 99% of my daily intake. If Honduran tobacco tastes like dirt, then call me Mudboy, and happily so.

I would also list these as excellent choices of quality, great tasting smokes.

I like Honduran Tobacco just fine, assuming that it's properly cured, blended, rolled, etc.

Hallelujah!
:-). The triple maduro and the Liberty are great. I'm not sure I buy the "pre-embargo" Cuban tobacco claims for the Liberty, but that would not be a selling point for me regardless. if I want a cc, I'll smoke a cc.

Following Darrell's sage advise, I just ordered another 100 Honduran cigars.

I prefer Nicaraguan and Dominican to Honduran.
