Not only did you just save me some money and some grief, you've reinvigorated the hunt. :-)
I wonder why they made that decision. I didn't even think to look at the dimensions in the product description.
Unlike Cuban cigars, there is very little uniformity among the different factories.
Usually a lancero is a 7"+ and under 40rg. But there are some great lonsdales out there too.
From another post I made a short list of mostly non-DPG lanceros/lonsdales.
Oliva V Lancero
Casa Torano Maduro Lancero
Hirsch and Garcia Lonsdale-Cigar King exclusive
Augusto Reyes Nativo Lancero-nice and earthy
La Flor Dominicana Oscuro and Double Ligero Lancero
Alec Bradley Tempus Lancero
Joya de Nicaragua Antano Lancero
JFuego Delerium Lancero
Padron Ambassador
Padilla Miami, 1932 and 1968 Lancero
Ashton VSG Illusion
Cubao Lancero

There are more, these are just the ones I have tasted.
