Well, that was what it looked like to me as well! Stilling that frame should help once this comes out on DVD. Wonder if the HDM bands looked like that in the 30s?

I want to see this now that I found out who Homer was. Dillinger's friend Homer Van Meter is a very, very distant relative of mine. It's cool to know that I'm related to a gangster.

Saw this over the weekend. Gotta say I was disappointed. While very stylish, with some excellent set pieces and a few great/hilarious scenes, there was no depth. I just didn't care one way or the other what happened to the characters. Depp was pretty good, given his material, but Bale was flat. The only interesting character was Billy, at least giving her final scene some depth. But none of the others, including J. Edgar Hoover, were engaging. Maybe they cut some for length, I'll watch a longer version if one comes out on DVD, but overall, lot of wasted potential IMO.
