the 601 blue BP maduro robusto is by FAR the winner in this category IMO. However, in order to make it affordable you have to look around, try the partysource, or lilbrown.com for great box prices. If you are willing to roll the dice with thompsoncigar, they have a 5 pack deal that is unreal on all the 601 lines.

The maduros supposedly aren't as strong or so I've heard. I've only smoked the natural, and after that cigar I just went and laid on the couch for 20 minutes until my entire body stopped sweating.

Ditto on the CAO MX2,I just finished one,I was delighted with it! here is a brief synopsis ..oily,dark chocolate wrapper, rich aromas, spicy, cedary, full and even broad palate.cocoa, leather, ginger, even burn, chewy.hints of brown sugar, cinnamon, building in the 2nd third.harmonious, balanced taste.the last third builds to a very big, earthy, intense smoke.I liked everything about this cigar,CAO can be proud of this one. I had a big vitola, 6x56 or so,it lasted 1.5 hours. I rate it 8.5 for strength and 18 overall...

I've heard the same. I haven't had one yet. I'm sure they're still pretty strong.

If you want volumes of smoke, that Sancho Panza maduro creates CLOUDS of white smoke.

Volumes smoke would be nice.
The catch is in todays economy was hoping to find there at an affordable price.
La Gloria Cubana Serie R #6.
:-)While not the cheapest in the world, will DEFINITELY satisfy those requirements. Your desires for a maduro are very similar to mine.
:-) Along with the ones previously mentioned here, I can throw some more suggestions your way.
