Cobb had racist tendencies, but he was one of Jackie Robinson's biggest supporters.
:-)
And as far as playing dirty, the late Eddie Guererro was famous for the saying, "Cheat to win".
:-)
Ric Flair is an icon and he was known as "the Dirtiest Player in the Game".
:-)
And Pete got screwed by baseball. He bet on his own team, not against them.

Well the incident has been boiled down here. In context, the guy was heckling Cobb for innings. Cobb told the Umpire and Managers to have the man removed, and they failed. The guy shouted something about Cobb's mother, so Ty made good on his promise to fix the situation himself.

Then Cobb led the baseball players out on strike to fix the abuse problem.
It worked.
I bet the whole scene was hilarious to watch, but you really have to wonder about a guy who beats up cripples.

Yes, I do wonder. I wonder how to get him into my group of drinking buddies.

Jose can forget about getting an apology.
What an ass-hat.
Cheers,

As much as I think Jose is a clown, what he did have to say was fairly credible. If it wasn't for him being a rat who knows what would have happened or how badly things would have gotten.

I would not be surprised to see Jose floating down a river someday. He does not have many friends out there.

I don't know if Jose is very
credible in any way, shape or form.
He's an egomaniac looking for some kind of redemption, an out, or forgiveness.
I have no time or respect for it.

How was it not credible? Most of the stuff he said turned out to be pretty true, he knew what he was talking about.

so.....he's an asshat for THAT??

Maybe that's how Jose got conked on the head by that ball that time. It was hit so hard that as it was falling the ball was screaming. The screaming scared Jose and made him misplay it.
Yeah, that's the ticket.

Ever since Canseco took that pop fly off the dome and it caromed over the wall for a home run on which he got the assist for, he has been washed up, and everything he has done since has been self centered, conceited and just flat out stupid. He is just pissed because he had a chance to be considered a great player and he has been cornered and pretty much tarred and feathered. Ps...I am also in favor of Pete Rose.
