Houston or San Diego? What are the other choices? :-)

However, California has better beer. :-)

I don't want to have to live in either, but for some reason I chose Houston immediately.
Wherever you end up, I pray it all works out better than you can imagine. :-)

While I don't know anything about Houston, San Diego is a great, albeit expensive, place to live.
Yeah, but you're in San Diego Peter, which means a vote for Houston...

Tell me about it!

Most of my relatives moved from California to Oregon!

I still would rather live in a state where I can pump my own gas!!!

So little time.

The move wouldn't happen for quite a while, as in mid 2012. I know this sounds wierd, but that's how this industry hires. I would be there next summer for a couple months though.

I will make a mob herf while I am here!

Dayum. That would make your decision a whole lot easier now, wouldn't it?

It comes down to, do you want to step outside your house and hear "Hey Dude" or "Howdy Y'all"? Both are great towns with great people, and the biggest difference is culture. Go with the vibe that is closer to your heart.

I will believe it when I see it, Brother. I may wager that I will herf in both San Diego and Texas before you hit a MoB Herf. Ok, I cheated. :-)

If i had to choose, i would go with SD. The weather year round is what would make me sway that way. The cost of living might be higher, but as many other BOTL have said, you just have to look in the right place for a nice house that is in your range.

Good luck in your choice.
