Oh, I didn't say it was good coffee, I said it was better than Folgers or Maxwell house :-). Lets put it this way, I can drink Yuban from a freshly opened can ... I find Folgers and Maxwell House to be terrible.

Tombstone and SeanGar... a couple o' grizzled old cowpoke avatars hashing out the coffee situation around a campfire... Hard to find an image that makes a cow more nervous. I'm outta here.

I used to like Hill Bros. 100% Columbian in my Bunn before I discovered the French press and fresh ground.
Never cared for MH or Folgers.

That's a lot to pay for that little bag. I think it was $7 at my Kroger. Or do you get it cheaper somewhere else?

For a local brand in the south, some of the Community Coffee blends are decent and Luzianne makes a good medium roast.
If you're in the French Quarter though you have to go to Cafe du Monde and have some of their French Market Coffee.

I like the old A&P Eight O'Clock whole bean coffee for a commercial roast but my favorite in a can coffee is without a doubt Hills Bros coffee. ImageI currently buy Cafe Don Pablo Imagewhole bean coffee in a two pound bag at Costco Warehouse. :-) :-)

I'll take either of those over the coffee at work. It's called McGregor's Gourmet Blend or somesuch. In other words, it's the Sav-A-Lot store brand. It's absolutely horrid. I watch security cameras in a dim, windowless room, so I drank it because the wretched stomach cramps it delivers almost instantly keep me awake. But it made me crap blood, so I decided drinking lots of water and holding my pee for hours was slightly preferrable. For a drink with over 500 carcinogens in every cup, I figure I might as well, at the very least, slightly
enjoy it.
I can enjoy a cup of Folger's or Maxwell House purdy'd up with lots of cream n' sugar and made correctly in a fair-quality machine. McGregor taught me a valuable lesson in appreciating what you've got...

I think they are both good. Usually go with what is cheaper at the time.
