I have enough to last me 10 years or so. If I slow down.

Sat down and did the math on this a few weeks ago...as the little missus was telling me I had enough sticks to last me for 20 years. Actual count, at smoking 5-7 a week came out to 11.5 years. I'd better get to buying some more. :-)

i like bobs answer...

about 300 a year & (like others)gifts are fun...roughly 25 years.

may outlive my stash if i stop buying now...not gonna happen tho...buying cigars is almost as much fun as smoking.

I didn't say I was gonna do it. :-) Merely a hypothetical situation. Gonna agree with Derrek. Buying them is almost a much fun as smoking them.

I'm estimating about a year on my stash.

About a week at best. Sold/gifted basically all I had. Time to rebuild.

Probably about 3 years based on my 2-4/week. Coming to 1 year in the habit/collecting I don't know whether that statistic is encouraging or depressing...

I don't what to look back and think about how much I've spent this year.

I mean invested :-)

Well hey if you got some keepers to offload, send me a pm haha ;-)

Personally, if I don't restock before the Election, I'll be smoking my "Don't smoke these, let them age" stash. So that's what.. 11 days and counting? Jesus, ticking time bomb!

Not exactly subtle.

I figure 3 or 4 months if I'm careful.

5 or so years. Plus about 10 years of pipe tobacco.

About three months at my average of 1.5 per day.

This is really eye opening, I didn't know some of you had THAT many.

If I smoked one a day, mine would last... 20 days. Money isn't wrong, but it's not right enough to spend a lot of money of what my Wife considers a hobby (She's coming around since she started smoking), and my consideration of a life style. Jesus, I feel like a whipped puppy.

It was eye opening for me too. I knew I had quite a few, but it really opened my eyes to just how many. Saying I have a couple hundred or even a thousand (two?) cigars is one thing. Calculating the time involved is another.

I think the biggest thing is the realization that I can be more free with my cigars. I will never smoke all of these. I know that I will buy more, therefore the only ones I really need to hang on to are ones that I really enjoy. No need to have a tray full of Gurkas or the tray of low end Rocky Patels. No reason to hang on to the house brands I never reach for. Time to thin the herd and get down to the good stuff.
