I just picked up a Dell mini10 for the Mrs and love it. Screen is pretty small, but for web surfin and e-mail they are hard to beat. Just get the 6 cell battery, as it lasts an incredibly long time.

The internal specs on most of the netbooks is almost all the same at this point. The difference is mostly screen size, battery size, and keyboard style. If I had to upgrade right now i'd prob get a 100HE (love that chicklet style keyboard!), scrap windows, and put eeebuntu on it
:-)

Im also not sure if I should wait awhile until Windows 7 comes out or go ahead and get one now.
I would wait till they are sold with WIN 7 already installed, less to deal with.

I was thinking about picking one of these up also. I have quite a bit of Best Buy rewards certificates and travel every other week for work. I've been lugging around my laptop, which isn't a huge deal, but would like to pack lighter if I could.
While travelling, I only use my laptop for web/email anyway, with the occasional Office docs. I looked @ BB last week, and I liked the Asus and HP, although they all seem to be around the same price and specs. I guess it just depends on cosmetics then.

I've had a MSI Wind U-100 that has worked flawlessly since I've owned it. I use it in my mini-mancave every night, and take it with me to the B&M often to use it with their wi-fi.
I did upgrade to the 6-cell battery for longer life, but I also purchased an extra power supply that I leave out in my mmc so I can just plug it in when I go out in the evenings. The other thing I did invest in was a Logitech wireless mouse, as I hate touchpads.
Netbooks are excellent if you need something to surf the web, check and answer email and move it around alot.

I have a dell Mini. I love it. The only thing I would suggest is getting a wireless mouse for it. and making sure you can upgrade the ram later if you want to

Should you ever need service, Lenovo is based in the US (with English speakers), I don't know about the others.

Asus is notoriously bad with it's customer service. They actually refer people to an independent user forum. And they speak bad engrish

not sure excactly what a netbook is but i just assume smaller laptops? i have 2 sony tz's with the 11 inch screens. love them with the internal sprint wireless card. a bit more pricey, but definately worth it. i dock it at home and the office so its my go to. 4 hour battery life on standard battery.

I got my toshiba NB205/310bn last week. Upgraded the memory to 2gb, replaced the hard drive with a 500gb seagate, and replaced the wifi card with an apple airport N card. Then I installed "iDeneb". I now have a 10 inch macbook clone that runs for 6+ hrs on battery. Woo.

We just bought our second Acer One. The one we just bought has the 11.6" screen. I love it. The size really makes it nice.

I'm out on the deck smoking a La Requeza and typing this post on my
SAMSUNG N120.
Strong points are the solid construction, speakers. and larger keyboard.
I'm a Mac guy, but Apple hasn't got their sh!t together yet, and I really like THIS netbook!
