The time off and the standing ovations that Oritz got last night done nothing he went 0-3.
I give it until the end of this homestand then it's time to get him out of the lineup.

Sox lose to the Mets, they had opportunitys on Santana a couple of times just could not get it done.
Lugo has to go, he has no range, cant turn the double play, he cost us the game tonight?

At this point I would rather see him there than on the mound! :-)

The Red Sox are poised to open up the AL East league.
Dice-L gone,, Lugo on the bench with Nick Green playing great, Ortiz is starting to contribute, the jury is still out on him?
Five out out of the next six series against teams with losing records and the sixth is only one game over 500.:-)

Sox pound the Nationals 11-3 Bay and Ellsbury with four hits each.
The Sox now sit five games atop the AL East :-)

Big Papi hits his first homer away from Fenway, a three run bomb to center field, Sox on top 6-4.
Tomorrow John Smoltz makes his first Red Sox start
should be interesting to see if this guy got anything left?

Smoltz rocked for four runs in the first inning :-)
A performance like that won't keep him in Boston.

Two great pitching performances by Beckett, and Wakefield, lets see if Penny can get us the sweep? :-)

Two out of three ain't bad, Sox bats have gone anemic but still had opportunity's to win the game.
Off to Baltimore and the AL East.

I just got back from vacation in DC where I was at the first two Sox - Nationals games. I estimate that 3 of 4 fans there were Sox fans. Attendance records were set all three games the Sox played in DC. It almost felt like being in Fenway.

Lester pitches seven strong innings, the bullpen buttons it down, what a great catch by Bay to end the game.
Sox shutout the O's 4-0 :-)
