Flies and spiders are one shot kills. We have some good sized desert roaches around here that occasionally come out at night. They usually take a few shots to completely put down, though a head shot often does it in one. Roaches are for the most part too stupid to know when they're dead.

Luckily I have a fenced in courtyard I smoke in that's fairly private - not sure what the neighbors would think if they saw it laying on the table next to my ashtray. It's just a little too big for concealed carry.

Even my wife has used it a couple of times.

Bags of water do in fact work but they are no where near as fun as the bug-a-salt :-)

It's kind of funny, but the flies (and other flying critters) in my area don't seem to like cigar smoke so things are OK by me :-)
