There are such a limited number of us who will get these chips, all inmates here at CA...I don't think the "advertising" for Stinky is really a factor as we all know what they are and already have made the choice to own or not own one or more. Personally, I am fine with the design as is, Mike.

I like the design as well.

However, and I am playing devil's advocate here, what if Stinky himself objects to us using his product on our chip?

I think Stinky sold his business to Quality Importers, but it probably would be a good idea to contact him. :-)

hmm. Just a thought, but for the side with the ashtray, why not something like this...

A perspective drawing that makes that side of the chip look like it is a round ashtray with CA info between the rests. Maybe some ash and a few bands in the bottom.

No indication of tray brand, etc. just a perspective drawing. Probably from above and a but to the side, like the one pictured here: http://img.cigarsinternational.com/l...m-soaash01.jpg. Of course you could not have a cigar resting since it would be clipped at the edge of the chip.

You could move the cigar in and just have a bit over the edge of the "tray" that would give you a few mm around the edge that wasn't ashtray, or you could just have a couple butts in the ashtray that have already been smoked, the herf is over and it's time for you to leave message.. inside S.H.I.T. herf joke as Goatlocker and I can have the habit of being the last ones to leave :-)

Probably the safe route, Mike. Though Bluto is attractive. :-)

You can use my ashtray as it's had all identifying marks fall off.

No tray brand, but isn't that a trademark brand that is showing inside the ashtray? Another can of worms?

...like the one pictured here...

"like" as in similar too. Similar as in "not the same". Not the same as "use it as a possible model". Model as in "not exactly the same". Not exactly the same as in "like the one pictured".
