Wine, Beer, and Spirits>What beers are you enjoying?
rhdad42 12:18 PM 10-15-2008
I'm a big fan of the Unibroue Fin du Monde, a Belgian-style triple from Quebec with a little more spice than a typical Belgina triple like Chimay.

I've also been on a big Leinenkugel kick lately...

I've been sampling all the Oktoberfest editions recently but still haven't found none better than the Hofbrau release.

Also have about 12 Harpoon's UFOs in the fridge.

My local pub is tapping a keg of Dogfish head Punkin’ Ale tonight. I’m sure I’ll order at least one or two. I just hope I don’t end up pukin’ from the punkin’:-)

This is a thread I'm going to keep my eye on. There are quite a few beers on here named already that I've never heard of or tried. I think that I'll create a To Try list!

All of the above are nice, but if you get the chance Westvleteren is worth a try as well (all of them, but the 12 is the best IMO)

Kasteelbeer is nice as well, I had Johnnykay5 try some when we were at my place.

I've been enjoying Stella's lately. Before that I went through a Corona phase. Not sure what was up with except that my buddy in the Key's had several cases at the lodge. I hadn't really liked Corona for years before then :-).

Generally do a lot of the Great Lakes offerings, as my local hang out has several on tap. Been drinking the Edmund Fitzgerald a lot (as usual) as well as Burning River and I think the Nosferatu (sp?) is coming out soon. They also have the Ayinger Celebrator Dopplebock on tap as well as Spaten Oktoberfest...so I do my best to give all the handles an equal workout as often as possible.

Bells HopSlam a friend gave me this weekend. Damn this is good. Very hoppy, slightly sweet imperial IPA.

Loving every sip.

The Fin du Monde is awesome! You have had the Ephmere right? All the Unibroue stuff I've had has been really good.

Lately I've been on a big PBC kick.

Sometimes those flavored seasonal beers are hard to stomach, this one wasn't too bad but I did have to wash it down with a few Guinness afterwards just in case.:-)
BlackDog 02:18 PM 10-16-2008
My standards are either Nevada Pale Ale or Summit Pale Ale. I bought a 6'er of Summit Octoberfest yesterday, will have one tonight with dinner. I like the occasional Guinness draught, in fact am drinking one right now.
