The Principes are incredible, no doubt. I like the Monarca better when there's time, they develop more and I get a lot more of that "incredibly good" last inch that's in a principe. I probably smoke more principes than monarcas, but I'd rather have a monarca.

Exactly my feelings. Love the Monarcas, especially since you get a bit more wrapper flavor in em.

Don't think I've ever had a monarca, guess I need to snag a couple soon.

Same ring as the Principe, just longer, Brian. I think one is 4 1/2" and one is 6 1/2".

I stand corrected, I think I was thinking of the Exclusivos, not the principes.

Ya still get more wrapper flavor from the monarca, it's longer and builds up more, right?
:-)

True, but I just consider that getting more cigar, since its the same RG, just longer, I tend to find it progresses roughly the same just the stages last longer.
And all this talk is reminding me I have a 64 Natural Imperial sittin in the travel humi. Now I'm startin to jones for it.

im torn between the Camacho triple maduro or the Davidoff Maduro. <br> i think ill go with the Davidoff though. it has a bit more refined flavor and i find it a touch more approachable.
...save for the price.

Tat Black PL
T-52 Toro or Torp
To me it has settled out to be more about wrappers than individual cigars:
CT > Nic (with occasional exception) > PA Broadleaf > everything else > San Andres
I know I'm in a small minority, but there are VERY few San Andres-wrapped maduro that I've ever enjoyed.

Believe it or not...an old 1998 CAO Maduro Corona (red label). It had aged to perfection. AWESOME!
Other than that, I'm also a fan of the La Aurora Preferidos Maduro

Ah my apologies, upon closer inspection of the band which I saved, it seems not to be the original 1998. It is however, the vintage CAO maduro from several years ago, not the newer CAO L'Anniversaire Maduro remake. I wish I had more details, but it was gifted!

Great choices here! I've got some great ideas for future selections.
Thanks, and by all means keep them coming...

I personally love the L'Anniversaire Maddies. Great smokes at a good price. Nice and chocolatey.
:-) Makes me hanker for one, but we don't carry them at work unfortunately.
