poon - the first N is silent.
:-) Often written p(n)oon.
It can be pronounced one of two ways.
p-noon or puh-noon (p'noon)

Pete Who?
It was either my first two-way pager or my first automated voicemail system for personal use... Anyhow, it was something that when setting it up, it prompted me, "Please record your first name at the tone"... "Pete"... "Please record your last name at the tone"... Not wanting all callers to know my last name, and not knowing what to say when faced with the beep, I said "Who?"
Well, then all my friends that contacted me got something along the lines of, "Please leave a message for Pete Who? at the tone"... Thusly I became known as Pete Who?
Who?
