I still have that picture in my mind, Adam. And the taste of bile in my throat.
:-)
Dom, hook a Brother up!

That is one cool TSA approved lighter. I watched the videos on it. Very impressive idea!

Similar to the cigar traveler, I use the soto pocket torch. Same concept and I just use dollar store refills.
Mine did get confiscated by tsa though. I guess it depends on the agent. Made it through sfo with it and then through a connecting flight out of San Diego that’s where it got confiscated.

I always take the lighter apart (3 pieces — 2 case and 1 lighter) and store the lighter separately from the case.
The Cigar Traveler lighter also uses dollar store lighter inserts. However the refills that come with the lighter are refillable, so you get the best of both worlds.
I’m guessing that the refillable inserts would also work in the Soto.

Can’t remember if I had taken it a part or not. I will be taking it apart for future travels. I do know that my current one did survive a battle with the washer

Welcome Nectar. How about you just read this 5 month old thread you resurrected?

I recommend any lighter that comes free with a cigar purchase.
