Same with me. Just wind and rain for us here. Could have been way worse. My heart truly breaks for the people of Cuba and Sanibel and Punta Gorda and Naples and all the surrounding areas.

I saw a chunk of the causeway to Sanibel was down. People who didn't evacuate may be stuck for a bit.

The devastation in Naples is heartbreaking. And watching the Skyway Bridge bounce in the wind was absolutely terrifying.

I saw his wife post on Facebook that all was well with them Greg. They didn't even lose power.

Texted with Michael yesterday. They are well prepared but not expecting anything major.

I have a friend who lives there, he lost a few vehicles & their house flooded. Lots of damage.

Hope everyone else fares better.

I have a friend who had the same result. All their cars are totaled.

Looks like it has picked back up and will be a challenge for Georgia, the Carolinas, and beyond.

Texted with CigarNut yesterday, again, and he said that it was a non-event for them. Still haven't heard about his son, who also lives in that area.

In our area we didn't even get any measurable rain. I am glad as we have had more than normal rainfall lately anyway. Coulda been lots worse.

All those in Ian's path are in my prayer.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

We live in The Villages and my wife and the dogs are fine. They did get a lot of rain and wind, but no damage as the storm stayed south of us. I'm up in Maryland helping my 90-year-old mother and we started getting the rain from Ian last night and it will stay with us until Monday or Tuesday. :-)
