If you need to smoke you can pick up some small cheap sticks like the Tampa Sweetheart 500s or one of my favorite winter time smokes, Pepin Black Pequenos. When I was commuting most of my winter smoking was done in my car.

I tend to smoke stronger cigars in the winter, to "thaw me out" so to say. I'd suggest small full bodied cigars to get yourself started.

ill see if i can find some smaller sticks that i enjoy.
Padron Corticos are excellent. So far as little tiny cigars go, I can't think of any better.
On the cc side, and I'll likely get skewered for saying this, but Cohiba cigarettes are really damned good. I don't inhale them at all, I retrohale them. If you smoke two back to back, they'll throw a nicotine buzz on you, and I think they're delicious.
So far as smoking in the cold goes, I love smoking a cigar while I'm shoveling snow. I'm not at all a fan of just going out and sitting in the weather, I'm too pussified. If there's no wind, I'll fire up the heaters in the shed and smoke while I'm working out there. Occasionally I'll sit on the porch at night and have a smoke if it's still. For the most part, my smoking pretty much ceases till it warms up outside.

+1 for shorter stick....I love to get bundled up and take the dog for a walk on a snowy night or a cold evening....but limit it to 30-45 mins...thus I'm not buying Churchills this time of year :-)

I've wondered about those Cohiba clubs. Didn't want to buy 100 to try them out though.

I set up a smoking shed, but even at 13 degrees it's too cold. I usually just don't smoke. Kinda sucks, been dying for a smoke all week.

when i lived in upstate NY, I would go to the garage with a space heater and some heavy clothing. Now that I am in Kansas, it is still cold, but not anywhere near the NY winter. I have a soldier's barracks about 200 feet from my house and I can see the guys out there smoking all hours of the day and night, in the snow, in the wind, whatever.

Yeah, go into you car and switch to smaller smokes for a few months...Alabama is a sauna compared to some places in the winter.

Wow I guess I'm a really lucky guy. Down here in New Orleans, the average winter temp is like 55ish. We just had our coldest week ever (high 20s)...but it's going be a lot warmer in couple of days.

-2 here right now in Chicago. Big jacket, thick gloves and hat, cup of coffee and a fire and you're set :-) You get used to it after a while.

Why is it that I never hear of an Eskimo complain about it being too cold to smoke a cigar outdoors for 2-hours? :-)
